Saturday April 30, HEALING OUR DEFENSE: Exploring and Eliminating Blocks to Connection, Expression and Life -
1-6pm, at the Center for Nia and Yoga, $60. This workshop is designed to explore how we close off to ourselves, others and our life through our defenses. Defense interferes with acceptance, awareness, aliveness, genuineness and the natural process of human energy flow. Defense creates blockages in our physical structure, our emotional bodies, and our energy field. This is an opportunity to begin to stop the cycle of repeated negative habits that keep us stuck, by shedding light on our "blind spots".

Participants will be introduced to:

Basic energy concepts
Core Qualities
Body Awareness
Higher Self, Lower Self and Mask
Childhood wounding and resulting images and defenses
Transference
Boundaries
Body Armoring

This workshop is designed for people who are interested in personal growth, insight and clarity and have had some experience with healing, counseling or psychotherapy. It is suited for non professionals as well as health care professionals and complimentary and alternative medicine practitioners who guide people through difficult times. It includes lecture material and experiential exercises.
